Famous Typography Quotes Project

For this project i was hired by Cubica ( Denmark ) to do some typography/illustration for them.The client requested a talented illustrator with an eye for remarkable typography. The idea was to visualize 2 famous text quotes and turn them in to a beautiful text.The purpose of the typography was to be used as wall stickers or wall decals.

The first stage of the project was to create hand drawn sketches
The second stage would make minor changes to the text and outline it
The third and final stage would be a Black and White file.

Medium used : Paper, Pencil, Intuos Tablet,

Software used: Adobe illustrator

File type: JPG, EPS

Final Output: Web, Print

So basically i start the project with couple of freehand loose sketches. I try to not spend a lot of time just to see the flow and dynamic of the text. I try to make some diversity and then send the results to the client. This is what it came out.

Here is the client's response:

"Hi Ilcho. Really great work! Personally I LOVE Sample 1 - but I think it would be better for another quote. For this one we go for No. 4. That is really awesome. Remember that you only can use one color when you start your Illustrator work"

The second stage was outlining the sketch. Adobe illustrator is my preferred choice when it comes to vector based software.

After that the project was revived by the client. This is what she had to say:

"Great work - I really like it"

After the delivery of the necessary files to the client i got intrigued by the result. I decided to give it some life. Since the client requested a Black and white typography quote, the final output was black and white. But i wanted to push things further and see how it will be with color.
